My Journey with Epilepsy: Seizures Every Single Day

September 28, 2026 · By Karrah

Hello everyone! I am Karrah, I am 17 years old, and I am writing my very first blog post.

I am starting this blog because I want to share a piece of my life that impacts me every single day. I have epilepsy, and I struggle with seizures on a daily basis.

My health journey actually started ten years ago, back in 2016, when I was diagnosed with meningitis and encephalitis. While I survived that scary experience, my brain went through a lot. A few years later, in 2020, I had my first grand mal (tonic-clonic) seizure. Ever since that day, I have been having seizures every single day.

It has been an incredibly long, exhausting, and emotional journey, to say the least. Living with uncontrollable daily seizures means adapting to a completely different version of normal, but I am learning to take it one day at a time.

Let’s Connect!

I don’t want this blog to just be about me—I want it to be a community where we can support each other.

  • Ask me anything: If you have any questions for me about my journey, what daily seizures look like, or anything else, feel free to comment!

Thank you so much for reading my very first post. I can’t wait to connect with y’all in the comments.
